Out of…
Things we are getting into, are exactly what gets us out of…life.
Today’s way of communication and receiving information is getting us trapped in an endless loop of virtual connections and disconnecting us from the real world, the physical world, the one that smells like rain, dirt and grass.
This is a time when we witness with our own eyes generations turning into zombies, completely consumed by fake news, click baiting titles, “like & share” culture , following, unfollowing, Twitter and Instagram drama, fake perfection, unreachable goals, fear of not being good enough on the internet while the reality part behind it stops being important.
People are getting into relationships for views and likes, people are traveling for more followers, people are buying insanely expensive houses and cars for subscribers, and the majority of us are getting “high“ on other’s happiness which we don’t even know if it’s even real to begin with. And then we realize we neither have time nor idea on how to build our own happiness.
We are clearly alive, but is this truly how we are living our lives? Is this a bad dream or a bad reality we need to wake up from in order to set things straight?
When did things turn this way? Others’ opinion being so important and worth changing our true nature over. Seeing people like a currency and others’ likes like a proof of our success.
Daydreaming of being something we are not even built to be. Comparing ourselves to the big social media influencers. Completely losing ourselves in a world of numbers and notifications.
We are completely out of touch with reality! And is there a way we can find balance?
